♥ Positive Thought For The Day ♥

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, When the road you're trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit- Rest if you must, but don't you quit.~unknown

Healing......

Healing

by Susan Terral on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 1:51pm

Two things to keep in mind when reading Bible verses like this:
  1. They should be taken in the context of the chapter, book of the Bible they are in so this is just a compass to point you to a place to start.
  2. One of the most important things from Bible study is to take what you learn and apply it to your life.
So keep in mind context and application

If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.” (Exodus 15:26)

And the Lord will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you.” (Deuteronomy 7:15)

Matthew 15:30-31   30Great crowds came to Him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at His feet; and He healed them. 31The people were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled (deformed/incomplete) made well, the lame walking and the blind seeing.  And they praised God (the author of every good thing).

Proverbs 4:20-22
My child, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh.

Exodus 15:26
He said, "If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in his sight, and give heed to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you."
